Today I spent five painstaking hours operating on a patient w/ breast cancer only to have her husband ask me when I updated him, “Is the surgeon going to come see me too?” They’ve been coming to my office for >8 mos AND I’ve operated on her before #womensurgeons #MedTwitter.
